Dermatology Care
Individualized Care For Your Skin
In healthcare, there’s no one-size-fits-all solution—and dermatology is no exception. At Cobb Dermatology, our experienced team of board-certified dermatologists and physician assistants (PAs) brings not only clinical excellence, but a genuine passion for what they do.
Our medical dermatology providers are known for their thoughtful, patient-centered approach—treating each individual with care, respect, and attention to detail. By developing personalized, evidence-based treatment plans, we’re committed to helping you achieve and maintain your healthiest skin.
Acne
Acne can be triggered by a variety of factors—including excess oil production, underlying health conditions, hormonal changes, and even certain medications. At Cobb Dermatology, our team is here to help you improve your skin’s appearance and prevent future breakouts through a personalized treatment approach.
Depending on the severity of your acne, your provider may recommend a combination of topical products, oral medications, or both. These treatments are designed to reduce inflammation, control oil production, and promote healthy skin cell turnover. We’ll also guide you on lifestyle habits that support long-term skin clarity—because effective acne care is more than a quick fix, it’s a journey to lasting skin health.
Psoriasis
Psoriasis is a systemic condition which affects the skin and other organs like the joints. It is also associated with other major diseases like coronary artery disease, metabolic syndrome, and mental health diseases. Studies show that treatment of psoriasis not only helps with the skin, but also with overall health.
While psoriasis isn’t curable, it is highly manageable with the right treatment plan. Our dermatology team offers a range of therapies tailored to your needs, including topical medications, oral treatments, and biologic therapies. We take a comprehensive, long-term approach to care—partnering with you through regular follow-ups to minimize flares, relieve symptoms, and help you regain comfort in your skin.
Rashes & Eczema
Your skin is your body’s first line of defense—shielding you from infections, injuries, and harmful sun exposure. But it’s also a powerful communicator and can represent a deeper problem.
Rashes can be triggered by a range of factors—from allergic reactions and irritants to underlying medical conditions. Our dermatology team is here to identify the cause and develop a personalized treatment plan to bring you relief and help prevent future flare-ups.
Hair & Nail Disorders
Hair and nails are often overlooked when it comes to dermatologic care—but they can reveal important insights about your overall health. Whether you're experiencing cosmetic concerns or underlying medical issues affecting your hair or nails, our team of dermatology experts is here to help.
We’ll work with you to identify the root cause of your symptoms and offer personalized treatment options to restore health, improve appearance, and address any discomfort.
Warts
Warts are common skin growths caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV), which can spread through direct skin-to-skin contact or by touching contaminated surfaces. If left untreated, warts may spread to other areas of the body or to others around you.
While most warts are harmless and may eventually go away on their own, they can be uncomfortable, persistent, and sometimes embarrassing. Early diagnosis and treatment can reduce the risk of pain, spreading, and scarring.
At Cobb Dermatology, we offer a range of effective wart treatments tailored to your needs—including topical prescriptions, cryosurgery, and curettage (surgical removal). Our providers will determine the best option for you to restore healthy, clear skin as quickly and comfortably as possible.
Skin Cancer Surveillance
Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the United States, affecting over a million Americans each year. According to The Skin Cancer Foundation, experiencing just five severe sunburns in your lifetime can double your risk of developing skin cancer. The good news? When detected early, skin cancer is highly treatable—with a 99% cure rate.
Whether you work outdoors, enjoy beach days, or have used tanning beds in the past, regular skin exams are essential. At Cobb Dermatology, we often recommend an annual Skin Check to help catch potential issues early and keep your skin healthy for years to come.
Don’t wait for a warning sign—make your skin health a priority.
Rosecea/Redness
Rosacea is a common chronic skin condition that most often affects middle-aged women, particularly those with fair skin. It’s characterized by persistent redness, visible blood vessels, red bumps, and frequent flushing—often triggered by stress, extreme temperatures, or certain foods. While typically not painful, rosacea can cause a burning or stinging sensation and may affect one’s confidence and quality of life.
At Cobb Dermatology, our medical and aesthetic providers often work together to create a comprehensive treatment plan tailored to your needs. From calming inflammation and minimizing redness to improving the appearance of broken capillaries and reducing flare-ups, we’re here to help you regain control and feel confident in your skin.

We proudly partner with The Education & Research Foundation to offer our patients access to a multitude of clinical research studies. Medical Aesthetics
Enhance Your Natural Beauty
Our expert team of aesthetic providers is committed to helping you achieve healthy, glowing skin while enhancing your natural beauty. Renowned for our friendly, approachable demeanor and dedication to achieving subtle, natural-looking results, we focus on helping you look and feel like the most confident version of yourself.
Neuromodulators
Neuromodulator injections temporarily relax targeted muscles to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles caused by facial expressions. Common treatment areas include glabellar lines (frown lines between the eyebrows), forehead lines, and crow’s feet (lines around the eyes). Additional uses include the lower face, neck bands, “lip flip,” and more. We offer a range of FDA-approved neuromodulators, including Botox®, Dysport®, and Daxxify®. Our experienced injectors will work with you to determine the most appropriate treatment options based on your unique anatomy and aesthetic goals.
Dermal Fillers
Dermal fillers are a versatile treatment used to restore lost volume, smooth moderate to deep wrinkles, and soften unwanted facial shadows—helping you achieve a more refreshed, youthful look. Most fillers are made from hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the body, and are formulated into a medical-grade gel that can be precisely placed in various areas of the face. At our office, we offer a wide range of dermal fillers, including Juvederm®, RHA®, and Restylane®, thoughtfully chosen by our skilled aesthetic providers to match your unique goals and individual needs.
Microneedling
Microneedling is a minimally invasive treatment that uses fine needles to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin, stimulating the body’s natural collagen production. This process helps to smooth imperfections, reduce the appearance of enlarged pores and acne scars, improve skin texture, and enhance overall complexion. We offer advanced microneedling options, including treatments with platelet-rich plasma (PRP), as well as microneedling combined with radiofrequency (RF) energy for even more options for skin rejuvenation.
-
This collagen-inducing therapy uses fine, medical-grade needles to create microchannels in the skin, triggering natural healing and regeneration. Over time, regular microneedling improves texture, reduces scarring, minimizes pores, and softens fine lines—leaving your skin noticeably brighter and more youthful.
-
This enhanced microneedling treatment combines traditional needling with your own platelet-rich plasma to supercharge healing and collagen production. PRP contains powerful growth factors that accelerate results, making it ideal for improving tone, texture, scars, and signs of aging.
-
Take skin rejuvenation to the next level with microneedling combined with radiofrequency energy. This dual-action treatment not only stimulates collagen at the surface but also delivers heat deep into the dermis for subtle skin tightening effects. A good fit for more advanced aging concerns and deeper wrinkles.
Chemical Peels
Whether you're seeking a light exfoliation or a more intensive skin renewal, chemical peels are a powerful way to revitalize your complexion. They help improve skin tone and texture, soften fine lines, and reduce the appearance of sun damage. Chemical peels can also target concerns like brown spots, acne scarring, hyperpigmentation, and unwanted redness. Our providers will select the most suitable peel from our range of options to support your unique skin goals.
Laser Treatments
At Cobb Dermatology, we provide a comprehensive selection of advanced laser treatments designed to address a wide range of skin concerns. Our offerings include laser therapy for broken blood vessels, laser hair reduction, erbium laser skin resurfacing, and CO2 laser resurfacing. This diverse array of services allows us to customize treatment plans based on your individual goals, desired outcomes, and available downtime. During your cosmetic consultation, our skilled aesthetic providers will walk you through your options and recommend the most effective approach tailored specifically to your needs.
-
Laser Hair Reduction offers a long-term solution for unwanted hair by targeting and damaging hair follicles with precision laser energy. At Cobb Dermatology, we utilize three different wavelengths of laser handpieces, allowing us to safely and effectively treat all skin types and tones.
How Does Laser Hair Reduction Work? Our laser devices emit a focused beam of light that is absorbed by the pigment in the hair. This energy is converted into heat, which destroys the hair follicle at its root—preventing future growth. Laser hair reduction is safe for most areas of the body and suitable for both men and women. Commonly treated areas include the underarms, bikini line, legs, face, abdomen, and back. Any pigmented (dark) hair can typically be treated.
-
We offer two advanced laser resurfacing treatments to rejuvenate and restore your skin:
Erbium Laser Resurfacing: This precise, cutting-edge laser treatment removes damaged surface skin while heating the underlying layers to stimulate collagen production. As your skin heals, new collagen fibers and skin cells form, improving elasticity, tone, and texture—resulting in smoother skin with fewer fine lines, wrinkles, and discoloration.
CO2 Laser Resurfacing: Ideal for more intensive rejuvenation, CO2 laser treatment penetrates deeper layers of skin to address more pronounced concerns, such as deeper wrinkles, scars, and sun damage, with longer-lasting results. It can also be used for scar revision post-skin cancer surgery.
-
This non-invasive treatment targets and collapses unwanted veins—such as spider veins, varicose veins, and cherry angiomas—by delivering pulses of concentrated light that safely heat and damage the vessel walls. The treated veins gradually shrink and are reabsorbed by the body, while blood is redirected to healthier veins nearby.
Intense Pulsed Light Therapy
Intense-Pulsed Light (IPL) Therapy, a non-invasive treatment designed to address a variety of skin concerns. IPL uses broad-spectrum light to target and treat issues such as sun damage, age spots, rosacea, broken capillaries, and uneven skin tone. By stimulating collagen production, IPL also improves skin texture and reduces fine lines, leaving you with a smoother, more youthful complexion. IPL therapy requires minimal downtime and delivers visible results after just a few sessions. Rediscover your skin's natural radiance with IPL—safe, effective, and non-invasive.
Sclerotherapy
If you're bothered by unwanted spider veins on your legs, our skilled aesthetics team offers Asclera® injections—an effective treatment designed to visibly reduce the appearance of these common veins. In addition to sclerotherapy, we also offer vascular laser treatments, and in many cases, a combination of both may provide the most optimal results. During your consultation, our team will create a personalized treatment plan to help you achieve smoother, clearer-looking skin.
Skincare Regimens
Navigating skincare products and routines can feel overwhelming—but you don’t have to do it alone. Our knowledgeable providers are here to help you build a personalized skincare regimen tailored to your unique skin needs, lifestyle, and budget. Your customized plan may include a combination of over-the-counter recommendations, in-office medical-grade products, and/or prescription topicals to help you achieve healthy, radiant skin with confidence.

Mohs Surgery
Skin Cancer Surgery
Cobb Dermatology is proud to feature an exceptional surgical team, expertly guided by Dr. Alisa Funke. Dr. Funke is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon recognized for her outstanding surgical results, meticulous patient care, and a compassionate approach.
-
Mohs surgery is commonly used to treat:
Basal cell carcinoma (BCC)
Squamous cell carcinoma (SCC)
Other rare skin cancers
It’s particularly recommended for cancers:
Located on cosmetically or functionally important areas (e.g., face, ears, hands)
That have recurred after prior treatment
That are large, aggressive, or have ill-defined borders
In patients with compromised immune systems
-
The procedure is done under local anesthesia, so you’ll be awake but should not feel pain during the surgery. Mild discomfort or soreness may be experienced after the local anesthesia wears off, but most patients find recovery manageable.
-
The length of the procedure can vary depending on how many layers need to be removed. Most Mohs surgeries take between 2 to 4 hours, but patients are encouraged to plan for a half-day, just in case additional layers or reconstruction are needed.
-
You’ll arrive at the office and receive local anesthesia. Dr. Funke will remove a layer of tissue, which is then processed in our on-site lab. While you wait comfortably, she will examine the tissue under a microscope. If cancer remains, another layer is removed and analyzed. This process continues until the margins are clear. If needed, Dr. Funke may perform reconstructive repair the same day.
-
Depending on the size and location of the surgical site, you may need stitches or a more advanced repair. Dr. Funke specializes in surgical reconstruction and will discuss the best option to optimize both healing and cosmetic outcome.
-
Recovery is generally straightforward. You may experience swelling, bruising, or tenderness for a few days. Keeping the area clean and following your aftercare instructions is key. Most patients return to daily activities within a few days, although strenuous activity may need to be limited for a longer period of time.
-
In most cases, yes. Mohs surgery is considered a medically necessary procedure and is typically covered by health insurance plans. We recommend contacting your provider or our office to confirm your specific coverage.
-
Dr. Funke will evaluate your skin cancer type, location, and overall health to determine if Mohs surgery is the best treatment for you. During your consultation, she'll walk you through your options and help you make an informed decision.
